I think Christmas has officially arrived, although the 70 degree temperatures and thunderstorms might try to convince you otherwise. Tonight our friends invited us over to their apartment, which is beautifully decorated for Christmas, and we did cookie decorating which I haven’t done in forever. It was the best! We had spiced apple cider, listened to holiday music and decorated lots and lots of pretty cookies. Nothing like icing a gingerbread man with only one leg to get in the holiday spirit. :)

Next up on the holiday event calendar is seeing New Years Eve on Friday, going to a Christmas party on Saturday and seeing Les Miz at the opera house next week. A drive through Highland Park to see all of the ridiculously over the top lights will also need to happen before we all depart for home. Seriously, the best time of the whole year.
