“Don’t you hate that? Uncomfortable silence. Why do we feel it’s necessary to talk about bull in order to feel comfortable? That’s when you know you’ve found somebody really special. When you can just shut the hell up for a minute and comfortably share a silence.”— Pulp Fiction (via quote-book)
“Don’t miss out on what’s happening now because you are waiting for something better to come along. You can’t live for the future, just like you can’t live for the past.”—
Danny Tanner (yeah, like from Full House)
This is exactly the philosophy that I’ve been trying to live my life by recently. I realized that I was always waiting for the next big thing to happen to me, and I was missing all the great stuff that was happening along the way. I’m making a conscience effort to not do that any more.
Several months ago I went to dim sum brunch in NYC, and it was delicious. Today I discovered that there’s a GREAT dim sum place in Plano, TX which is about 25 minutes from where I live. JS Chen Dim Sum & Barbecue has excellent dim sum at a very reasonable price. There were 11 of us and we probably ordered 15 or 20 different items and only paid $10 a piece including tip. Highly recommend it, especially for a big group. I had no idea that there was such a big Chinese community in Plano. There’s also an Asian World Market next door which is fun to poke around and see all of the exotic Asian items they have for sale.
In route to Laguardia to then get on a shuttle bus to CT. Then we drive to Hyanis, MA in the morning to catch a ferry to the island. Now I just need to find a train to get on, and I will have covered all means of transportation!
I’m in the second to last row of the plane and I think the flight attendant was feeling lazy by the time she got to me because I scored a free bottle of wine! It’s going to make the ride a little more enjoyable.
