Last night was girl’s night and we had a very yummy dinner at Fireside Pies. We waited for almost 2 HOURS, but it was so worth the wait when we finally did get seated. The pizzas were delish and the waitress brought us their market fruit pie for dessert on the house since we had waited for such a long time.
I’m almost finished reading “The Happiness Project” and, while I’m not ready to launch my own year long project like Gretchen did, I have been thinking about some minor things I can do to better myself. Here’s what I’ve come up with:
Watch TV less
Exercise 5+ days a week
Nothing too earth shattering I know, but just some things to be mindful of as I go through my day.
I’m planning to take advantage of my weekend at home in Dallas to do a little shopping. I am desperately in need of a few things. Most importantly, I need PANTS!! I currently have exactly one pair that fits me. I want to find some for work and maybe a pair or two of jeans also. Secondly, I’m going to look for a good pair of black heels that are comfortable and work appropriate. Seems so basic, but for some reason it’s hard to find the perfect pair. The last thing I may look for is a bathing suit, but I may hold off on that for now. I haven’t decided where I’m going to look for all of these items yet, but I still have a few days to decide.
The tournament starts on Thursday so you have until tomorrow night to make your choices. We have a $10 pool going on at work so we’ll see how I do. I usually do okay making random guesses so I think I’ll stick with that strategy again this year.
