This might make me a huge nerd, but I spent my lunch hour on Friday having a picnic at Founders’ Plaza located on the DFW Airport property right by the north runway. It’s a grassy knoll with picnic tables and telescopes to watch the planes come it, and we had the best time there naming what types of planes were coming by and trying to figure out which flights they were. There were a surprising number of people sitting in their cars, eating lunch and watching the planes land. Definitely a fun Dallas thing to do, especially if you’re an aviation enthusiast.
A new favorite spot in Park City. This bar/restaurant/bowling alley/billiards lounge, cleverly named after a bowl at Park City, is the perfect place to spend a Saturday night after a long day of skiing.
I was intrigued when a coworker mentioned the ten/ten/ten challenge that he would be participating in with about forty five other employees of my company, and I decided it might be fun to join! Everyone participating puts $10 in the “pot.” The goal is to lose ten pounds in ten weeks, and all of the participants who meet this goal get to split the money. We start tomorrow, and we have to weigh in every Tuesday morning for the next ten weeks. No one ever shares their weight, but we report have many pounds we lost (or gained) each week. I’m in it to win it. Wish me luck!
Here’s the deal. Go to http://www.imdb.com/chart/2000s and count the number of movies from the decade that you have seen. Then go to all of the other decade pages and count how many of each of those you’ve seen. My grand total is a sad 45 out of 500. I need serious help. Hope you do better than me!
